Our lovely Victorian Schoolhouse is an ideal venue with its two vaulted characterful halls; large enclosed garden; grassed paddock; stunning views over the Oxfordshire & Berkshire countryside and ample on-site car parking. The halls can be hired individually or as a whole venue for larger events.
The Main Hall accommodates up to 200 (110 seated)
The Main Hall benefits from a well-equipped kitchen with both an internal and external serving hatch/bar. The hall opens onto a patio and a pretty, enclosed, secure garden. The hall itself is extended with stunning views over the garden and local countryside. Our hirers love it as the integral Phillimore Room offers the opportunity for a separate food area, children’s zone or somewhere for entertainers to prepare! With a vaulted beamed ceiling and wooden floor with underfloor heating, the hall oozes character and comfort and we’re told the acoustics are superb.
The Palmer Room has room for 74 (37 seated)
The Palmer Room also has a stunning beamed ceiling and entrance lobby. Though the room doesn’t open into the garden, the close by paddock can be added for those wanting some outside space. The Palmer Room boasts a small kitchen.
The halls can be hired individually or we can hire the entire building for exclusive use all under one roof – a popular choice for weddings.
