Healthwatch Oxfordshire seeks new Treasurer

Healthwatch Oxfordshire’s Treasurer is stepping down after six years of service, so they are seeking a new Treasurer to join their Board of Trustees.

Healthwatch are looking for someone with financial, business or charity management experience, and strong skills in management accounting and financial controls.

Healthwatch Oxfordshire is an independent champion for people who use health and social care services in the county. They are here to find out what matters to people and help make sure their views shape the services they need. Healthwatch share these views with those who have the power to make change happen.

They are a registered Charity, number 1172554, and Company limited by Guarantee, number 08758793. Their primary source of income is funding by Government money, via Oxfordshire County Council.

About the role

As Treasurer you will:

  • Become a Trustee of the charity
  • Lead the Governance and Finance Group
  • Report to Board Meetings
  • Work closely with the Business Manager and Executive Director.

In this role you will ensure Healthwatch Oxfordshire adheres to all aspects of financial management, reporting and compliance.

Please note third party accountants provide Statutory and Management Accounts on our behalf.

The role is unpaid but relevant expenses may be claimed.
