The hall was paid for by public subscription and built in 1921 by local builder Arthur Butler in memory of those men of the parish who gave their lives in the First world War. It has provided on-going facilities to organisations and residents of the Peppard village and surrounding area totalling 6,000 people. The hall has been a non-profit making charity since 1962 and is in the care of Trustees who are the management committee drawn from regular hall user groups. The hall is magnitude 50 feet by 100 feet floor space. There is a stage with lighting and the acoustics of the hall are good. It has a modern fitted kitchen, plus controlled heating and lighting. There is ramp access to the hall however toilet facilities are provided for ambulant disabled only in both ladies and gents changing rooms. Facilities exist for hirers to obtain the necessary local authority licence to sell alcoholic drinks. The hall is the home for the local table tennis club and bowls club. Other regular users are WI, luncheon club, toddler groups, cinema, gardening and physical training clubs.
