Annual Review and AGM 2024/5

We’ve released our Annual Review 2024/5!

Have a read to explore the many ways our dedicated staff have supported communities across Oxfordshire over the last year: Annual Review 2024/5

And join us at our AGM next Thursday, 6th November 10-11:30am, to hear more about our activities alongside an insightful and timely talk from Mark Golding on: “Immigration, asylum, and refugees: myths, misconceptions, and lived reality.”

Mark will speak to us from 10-10:30am, before our formal AGM from 10:30-11:30 where we’ll celebrate our work over the last year and vote on any resolutions. Feel free to join for all or part of this online meeting.

Hostility to immigration is increasing in the UK. With it comes a rise in racism. An urgent rebalancing of public debate is needed. Mark – a former director of Asylum Welcome – will take us through some of the myths about migration and the necessity of replacing resentment with compassion, and an understanding of how migration has always benefited our communities.
